IT COMES FROM MISSISSAUGA    LONDON  (?)

Well, I have to tell you, the city of Mississauga is something else.
Once again, someone from Mississauga has disappointed me.
HUF gym has outright refused the challenge from Richard.

I mean, they said "no". Just like that.
They didn't even try.

I guess I need to bring back this banner:

This is a sport. Sometimes you have to go all out, and try something. Even if you feel your opponent may be a bit better.
That is how you learn.
If you always have opponents who suck, the only thing you will learn is...how to suck.

Winning all the time isn't good, anyway. You get cocky.

I can't figure out that city. What good is it?
Like I said before, it prevents Brampton from sliding into the lake.

Here is an idea. Let's abolish Mississauga. Get rid of City Hall. All of them. Kick out all the assholes, which is about 80% of the population, including 99% of Mississauga Transit. You move them to Northern Quebéc, so they can be with their own kind.
The rest of them, you dissove into what will be parts of Oakville, Brampton, and Toronto.
See, no more Mississauga.
It is just this easy:

Anyway, Richard is looking for someone else.
He told me that he would find someone.

There was talk of Mark Laidman.
I did some research on him.
He is a police officer in London,
...and a boxer, too?

Wow.
I hope all those doughnuts haven`t caught up to him.

BOXING DAY NOW IN MAY

Richard has moved our boxing show to May 9, because "Nobody is ready."
Well, I am. Then again, I always am.

Especially when...

IT COMES FROM MISSISSAUGA

Richard has found an opponent for me...sort of.
Richard can't remember his name, but I shit you not, he is from Mississauga.
Since I don't know his name, and he has no bout record, I can't find any information on him.

In Entry 228, I spoke about a possible opponent from Mississauga.
This could be it.

We are just waiting for approval from the coach in Mississauga.
I really hope they accept the challenge, because, for a long time, I have wanted a victim opponent from Mississauga.

Have I ever told you, I don't like that city?

I would just love to kick some Mississauga butt.

Please, please, please...don't take this away from me!

I want Mississauga!
Bring it!

SHORT WEEK, BUT NO REST FOR THE BRICKSTER

Stockyards Boxing was closed Monday due to holidays, and I had a meeting at work on Wednesday, so I only made it to boxing twice this week.
There was no rest, though. There is no rest in boxing, especially when in training for a big bout.
The rest of the week I worked hard on cardio and weight training at Bloor Fitness.
I still don't know who my opponent will be on the 25th, but I trust Richard will find someone worthy.

I am trying to get as much sparring as possible.
The guys have been really great working with me, and helping me the last couple of weeks.

SWITCHING TO DAYS: THE BEAT GOES ON...OR NOT

The security company wants me to switch to day shift. Working at a school on Bathurst Street, not far from my current site.

Here is the thing, I may not accept it.
I like my night shifts, and also, day shifts are only six hours. I am getting nine hours on the nights.

Although, I don't know how much longer I want to stay in security.
I mean, it is a great stepping-stone, but it is like retail or fast-food, you use it to propel yourself into something else.

"THE BRICK'S" NEXT VICTIM OPPONENT

Richard has been pleased with my performance during sparring sessions, and asked me if I wanted him to find an opponent for me for April 25.
I told him that I would like that very much.

He will be calling around to find someone over the next couple of weeks.
I hope he is able to find one.
Maybe someone from Mississauga.
Yay! Oh, yeah...

AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOUR BY SECURITY AND POLICE, IS IT JUSTIFIED?

I'm sure you are all aware of the incident that occurred earlier in the week at Union station.
There is a video going around, and the TTC is all upset about it.

For those who are not aware, or did not see the video. It shows a transit enforcement officer beating the crap out of 'passengers' in the station concourse.

For those who didn't see it, its here: TTC Special Constable allegedly assaults man in Union Station

Being a security guard myself, I am somewhat biased, but for good reason.

I look after two very large properties, at night, alone.
Therefore, forgive me if I don`t kiss your ass.

This is not a day shift concierge. Things are different at night. When your property is shut down, and someone is snooping, they are not there to visit someone or are looking for information.

The problem is, nobody thinks about night shift security.
Our shift is more stressful than day shift, because we are always on alert. Every unusual sound, every unusual movement is a red flag.

I have seen everything.
Interestingly, the Don Mills site is more "active" at night than the Bathurst site.
Everyone thinks Don Mills is a great area.
Bullshit.
Maybe during the day, but after midnight, its a shithole.
I have seen drug deals going on, fights, a guy walking around with a knife.

Also, just a few weeks ago at the Bathurst site, someone was trying to get into the building at three in the morning. Pulling on the doors, then trying another set of doors, and tried every door.
I am the only one there. I can't just call for backup.
There isn't any. Even the police can take up to five minutes to get there, and a lot can happen in that time.

My security company gives some piss-poor excuse of a self-defense course, in an effort to educate its guards without the risk of a liability issue.
The idea being, if an attacker approaches you, push him back, and run.

Fuck that.

If a man tries to attack me, I will knock him right the fuck out, and I won't have to run away. There will be plenty of time to walk, because it will be a long time before he gets up.
He may even need to get used to drinking his meals through a straw for a couple of months.

I am sick and freaking tired of the general public saying that security and police go too far, and that security guards are lazy.
Security guards get twelve fucking fifty an hour to keep your sorry asses safe. Even police are not paid enough for the crap they endure.

Ultimately, what I am saying is that security and police do what is needed to stop an attack.

I may complain about what the police and other security guards do sometimes, but I will never condone an attack. Nobody deserves to be attacked at their job.

If I witness an attack on another guard, TTC constable, or police officer, I will support that person whenever needed. Whether that be at a hearing, or in court, wherever else.
As I hope they would do the same for me, if I was ever in that unfortunate situation.

I hope you now understand our position on this matter.

For those who still don't understand, I have composed the following set of instructions to help you:

  1. Fuck off
  2. Drop dead
  3. Repeat
