Down, But Not Out...

---English---

Well, things have taken a very big turn for The Brick.
I have finally received the results of all my medical tests. I passed everything.
However, and this is a **BIG** 'However'... One of my eye test reports came back, and I have been found to have Retinopathy. It is a hereditary problem that causes weakness and brittleness of the retinas. It does not immediately cause vision loss, but it means my eyes can not be exposed to shock.
That means no strong blows to the head...so, no boxing! The eye specialist had specifically designated, 'I DO NOT RECOMMEND BOXING' on the report.

I personally think they are being overly-protective. I have never heard of somebody's retinas detaching because of getting hit. Anyway...

The problem can be corrected through medication and surgery, but who knows how long that can take? It will likely be a couple of years.

You know I am going to fight this. If I have to, I will go to every doctor in Ontario, Quebec, and if needed, the States.

This does not make any sense. I have looked everywhere, and I can not find any medical records that prove any such thing can happen.
If I take their logic into consideration, then I can't cook for myself any more, either. I could be bending over something in the kitchen, and smuck my head against the cabinets. I can see the headlines now: "Man Goes Blind While Attempting To Make Pasta". Are they going to tell me I am not allowed in the kitchen?
That is the worst kind of all the kinds of bullshit there is.

Nobody wants me to be a boxer for some reason, and they are going out of their way to see that it does not happen.

I have told Richard, and he was very understanding and supportive.
For now, I will not be attending the Stockyards Gym, but will be returning in the new year.

I will continue to use Bloor Gym, and keep in good physical condition, and  I will continue with Kobe's classes.

The fight is not over until the bell rings, and I have not heard a bell. Have you heard a bell?

I am down, but not out.

Remember, nobody can beat The Brick.

Round Three...

Round Trois...

  1. Awwww, that's too bad. I remember the first time I saw you at the gym. When you leaned forward I could see your little red nutsuck in all its glory. It was hair, and beautifull. I loved it. Once time you changed next to me in the changeroom and I could feel you breathing heavy on my supple young neck. Boxers turn me on, so if you don't box no more you wont be turning me on baby. Miss you sweaty crack. I love you paulie b! :)))
PS I am the young guy with shaggy dirty blond hair at the gym. I have beehnj afraid of sharing my feelings until now. I still don't kno if ur gay or not, so I'm takling abig risk.
