ENTRY 242
A bit late this week, but here it is.
Stockyards Got Creamed
Unfortunately, the Stockyards team did not do well on Saturday.
We had three guys competing, and they all lost.
Joel was disqualified for two standing eights in one round (TKO)
Mike was knocked down at 1:25 into the first round, and Oliver lost a decision.
I do believe Oliver should have won, as his technique was much better than his opponent.

Although, I am actually not surprised at the outcome of Mike's bout.
I have sparred Mike, and I have to say that defense is not his strong point.
I feel bad that I didn't tell him.
The whole idea of sparring is to help one another, and not telling him he needed to work on defense, we not helping.
Anyway. We are still the best.
Better next time.
Go Stockyards!
Sparring Report
While on the topic of defense, mine has been getting much better.
I am now at the point where very few can touch me in the ring.
The only one who can hit me is Nick. Even then, it is getting rare.
Not only am I getting better, but I am out of new sparring partners.
Honestly, when you spar the same guys all the time, it gets predictable.
We need to get more guys in there.
I wish Richard would let me spar the younger guys.
I would love to spar Oliver once in a while. Like I said once before, you learn from someone who is better.
Also, why does Richard not bring in Masters from other guys for sparring, like he does for the younger guys?
Cabbagetown has Masters who may be able to do a sparring excahnge with us.
Something different this week.
Have you heard of Boothworth Industries?
It is a fictional company based on a story.
The link will bring you to YouTube, with somebody reading the story.
I don't want to ruin the story, but basically this company arranges for people to be "remodeled".
If you call right now, 630-296-7536, it should actually connect you to Boothworth Industries.
Going even further, they have a YouTube channel and a Facebook page.
They have even fabricated stories about people who have died after calling, or recieving a call from them.
They have a working phone number, Facebook and YouTube.
All I can say is that somenbody or a group of people have put a lot of work into making a simple story become very real.
I think that is very cool.
