Stockyards ,September 29

Hello all.
Since I can not be participating in any boxing activities until I can keep the cry-babies at Boxing Ontario happy, I thought I would do a report on last Saturday's boxing at Stockyards.

I have to say it was some of the best boxing Stockyards has ever had.
There were boxers from Ottawa, Oshawa, and my favourite boxing gym, Kingsway. I was surprised that their boxers won. Then again, they were not up against anyone from Stockyards.
By the way, I did not forget about the exhibition match. Me verses someone from Kingsway. Once I get through all the bureaucratic bullshit, it will happen.

I hope the Kingsway "coaches" remember to bring their crying towels on that day. I am going to wipe the floor with their "athlete".

Anyway, enough about me for now. Let's recap Saturday.

Here is the run-down for the evening:

Bout 1: Flavius Fontenella (Kombat Arts) vs. John Bianco (Champion), John Bianco wins by 3-0 decision in the 75 kg category.

Bout 2: Jafari Francis (Kombat Arts) vs. Steve Hagan (Durham), Steve Hagan wins by 3-0 decision in the 73 kg category.

Bout 3: Vinni Kana (Kingsway) vs. George Zeng (Beaver, Ottawa), Vinni Kana wins by 3-0 decision in the 72 kg category.

Bout 4: Heiner Bermudez (Stockyards) vs. Bagashar Nageshan (Cabbagetown), Heiner Bermudez wins by split-decision in the 56 kg category.

Bout 5: Peter Feeney (Cabbagetown) vs. Mark Coussan (Stockyards), Mark Coussan wins by split-decision in the 57 kg category.

Bout 6: Jamal Brown (champion) vs. Tim Hill (Motor City, Oshawa), Jamal Brown wins by split-decision in the 68 kg category. 

Bout 7: Mark Halpenny (Kingsway) vs. Dan Ross (Cabbagetown), Dan Ross wins by RSC/ round 2 in the 85 kg category.

Bout 8: Luis Valdivia (Champion) vs. Micha Glazerman (Stockyards), Luis Valdivia wins by RSC/ round 2 in the 72 kg category.

Here is what happened in the main event:

I did not think this match-up was fair. I spoke with Micha before his bout, and he told me that his opponent would be Luis, and my first though was, 'You are going to get creamed'. I feel bad about thinking that way, but it turned out I was right.
Luis has been a active boxer for a long time. The last time Micha had been in the ring was at the 2009 CHIN picnic, which I captured on video.

The first part of round one looked like a fairly even match, as both boxers were able to land some good shots.

At about half-way through the first round, the bout became to look a bit one-sided, in favour of Valdivia. I would have scored the round for Luis Valdivia.  >>

Round Two did not look good for Glazerman. He did get a couple of good blows in, but I would have given the round to Luis.

 A good hook to the head, started to dig the grave for Micha, with his first Standing-8 of the round. >>

That first Standing-8 must have awakened Glazerman, as he came back strong for a while in Round Two, but unfortunately for him, it didn't last.

Luis fought back with a flurry, with Micha against the ropes. >>

Then, Valdivia exploded with this wicked shot to the liver.

After a short delay, Glazerman dropped to the canvas,for a second 8-count. >> 

Another shovel in the grave for Micha, as the referee counts the second 8-count against him in the second round.

Glazerman recovered quickly, and answered with a flurry of his own. >>

Another solid jab from Luis.

The final 8-count against Glazerman marked the end. The referee called the match, after a punishing round.

Bonjour à tous.
Puisque je ne peux pas participer à toutes les activités de boxe jusqu'à ce que je peux garder les bébés au cri-Boxing Ontario heureux, je pensais que j'allais faire un rapport sur la boxe de samedi dernier au Stockyards.

Je dois dire que c'était un des meilleurs parcs à bestiaux de boxe a jamais eu.
Il y avait des boxeurs d'Ottawa, Oshawa, et ma salle de sport préférée boxe, Kingsway. J'ai été surpris de voir que leurs boxeurs gagné. Là encore, ils ne sont pas contre n'importe qui de parcs à bestiaux.
Soit dit en passant, je n'ai pas oublié le match d'exhibition. Me versets quelqu'un de Kingsway. Une fois que je reçois à travers toutes les conneries bureaucratiques, il ne se passera.
J'espère que les «coachs» Kingsway n'oubliez pas d'apporter leurs serviettes de pleurer ce jour-là. Je vais essuyer le plancher avec leur «athlète».

Quoi qu'il en soit, assez parlé de moi pour l'instant. Récapitulons samedi.

Voici ce qui s'est passé dans l'événement principal:

Je ne pense pas que ce match-up était juste. J'ai parlé avec Micha avant son combat, et il m'a dit que son adversaire serait Luis, et mon premier mais a été: «Vous allez obtenir la crème». Je me sens mal penser de cette façon, mais il s'est avéré que j'avais raison.
Luis a été un boxeur actif pendant une longue période. La dernière fois que Micha avait été dans le ring était au CHIN Picnic 2009, que j'ai capté sur vidéo.

La première partie de la première ronde ressemblait à un même match assez, que les deux boxeurs ont pu atterrir quelques bons coups.

À propos de mi-parcours du premier tour, le combat est devenu de regarder un peu à sens unique, en faveur de Valdivia. Je voudrais avoir marqué le tour de Luis Valdivia. >>

Deuxième round n'a pas l'air bon pour Glazerman. Il a reçu quelques bons coups dans, mais je lui aurais donné le tour de Luis.

Un bon crochet à la tête, se mit à creuser la tombe de Micha, avec sa permanent-8 premier tour. >>

Cela permanent-8 doit d'abord avoir réveillé Glazerman, comme il est revenu en force pendant un certain temps dans la deuxième ronde, mais malheureusement pour lui, ça n'a pas duré.

Puis, Valdivia a explosé avec ce cliché méchant pour le foie.

Un autre pelle dans la tombe pour Micha, que l'arbitre compte le deuxième 8-chef d'accusation contre lui au second tour.

Glazerman récupéré rapidement, et répondit avec une rafale de lui-même. >>

Un autre jab solide de Luis.

La finale 8-chef d'accusation contre Glazerman a marqué la fin. L'arbitre appelle le match, après un tour punir.
